Professional activity: Presenter, Various CLE Topics. Over the last several years, I have presented on a variety of topics over the last five years for Continuing Legal Education in Iowa. These topics have ranged from issues relating to gathering medical records for personal injury cases, trial tips, litigatign a trial during Covid-19 and family law issues.; Jack Levin Inn of Court. I was selected to join this organization comprised of Judges and other attorneys. I serve on the Executive Committee and am an active member.; Member Polk County Women’s Bar Association; Fellow, American Bar Foundation. Top 1% of atttorneys.; Elected to 5C Judical Nominating Commission. In Iowa our judges are selected by going through an interview process with the Judical Nominating Commission. The Commission selects two names to send to the Governor for selection as a new Judge. This position is elected by the lawyers who practice in District 5C, Des Moines and the surrounding area.; I serve as a family law mediator. I have completed the required 40 hours of training and am certified to serve as a mediator for family law matters. I have served in this roles over 12 years; Iowa Association of Justice. This Board is comprised of plaintiff trial lawyers from around the state of Iowa. We meet quarterly to identify legislation, policy and educational issues for our members. We lobby for legislation and plan and execute numerous CLE events during the year. I have served as the CLE Chair.; District 5C Ethics Review Panel. I was appointed by the Iowa Supreme Court to serve on a commission for 6 years that reviews ethical complaints against lawyers and holds fact financing hearings and then makes recommendation to the Supreme Court regarding the disposition.
